About Therapy
-
Therapy is a collaborative, supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Sessions often involve exploring patterns, processing difficult experiences, and developing tools to better understand and navigate your emotions. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and able to show up as you are
-
The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any questions you may have. You’re welcome to share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to cover everything right away.
-
Typically, your information is kept confidential, and I will only share information or documentation with others if you provide written consent.
There are a few specific circumstances where I am legally and ethically required to share information, even without your consent. These situations are rare and generally involve immediate safety concerns, such as:
If I believe you are at risk of harming yourself
If I believe you may harm someone else
If I suspect a minor child or vulnerable adult is being abused or neglected
Confidentiality and its limits will be discussed in more detail in the Notice of Privacy Practices, which you will review and sign before beginning therapy.
-
Most clients begin with weekly sessions, though this can be adjusted based on your needs and goals. We’ll work together to find a schedule that feels supportive and sustainable for you.
-
At this time I only offer individual therapy to teens (15+) and adults.
-
You are welcome to reach out between sessions by phone or email if something comes up. I will do my best to respond within two business days.
I am not available for crisis or emergency support. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, you can call or text 988 to reach the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If you are in immediate danger, please call 911.
